A domain name is the name people type to reach your website, such as webox.co.za. Each domain name is linked to an IP address, the number that identifies the server your website is on. Our domain name is webox.co.za and our web address is www.webox.co.za. To have your own website address, you need to register your own domain name. Domain names exist because IP addresses are hard to remember. Without them, you would have to type a number such as 216.58.223.46 instead of google.com.
A subdomain is an extension of your domain name. It is treated as a separate website from the main domain and has its own FTP account details. For example: our domain name is webox.co.za, our web address is www.webox.co.za and a subdomain of ours is demo.webox.co.za.
1) First, make sure the domain name is available. You can email the Webox support team a list of potential domain names and we will reply with the availability status.
2) Once you have decided on the domain name, the registration fee needs to be paid into the Webox account and proof of payment needs to be sent to the Webox sales team. Once we have proof of payment, we start the registration process immediately.

Yes, you can transfer a domain name. You will have to follow a process, and the Webox support team will guide you through every step.
Web/disk space is the available space you have on our server. All the pages, words, images, scripts, databases, emails and other files take up space. This space can be measured in megabytes or gigabytes.
A database is a collection of information that is organised so that it can be easily accessed, managed and updated. A website can be linked to a database if required.
Bandwidth is the amount of data your website sends to visitors. Every page, image and download a visitor opens uses some of it. All our hosting plans include unlimited bandwidth, so your site stays available as your visitor numbers grow.

Responsive design means your website adjusts to the screen it is viewed on, so it works on a desktop PC, a tablet or a mobile phone.
Website hosting contracts are month to month. You can give us 24 hours’ notice to cancel. Any hosting fees paid for that month are not refundable.
